Bespoke Guardians are on the lookout for an OFSTED Registered Manager to help provide best-in-class care and support for children and young people who may have complex behaviours and needs. We endeavour to create a home environment that exceeds the needs of the children and young people, enabling them to express their characters, feel safe, and enrich their lives – “Doing What Others Won’t”. This is our first residential children’s home and an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to help shape and guide our vision.

We are seeking a manager to oversee the daily operational needs for the children’s home, ensuring high-quality and care provisions meet the required standards under OFSTED and children’s home regulations. You will be working closely with relevant professional agencies to ensure high standards of support is delivered using a multi-agency approach.

The ideal candidate will have extensive understanding of the challenges that this role entails but also understands the rewards that comes along with it.

You are also required to have:

• • Have substance experience of managing an OFSTED home.

• • Hold a level 5 in leadership for health and social care or equivalent in children and young people services.

• • Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g. Children Act 1989, Care Standards Act 2000) and regulatory frameworks such as OFSTED and reg.44 visits.

• • Strong leadership skills with a capacity to inspire and motivate others.

Responsibilities will also include but are not limited to:

• • Lead a team of care staff to deliver exceptional care services

• • Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs and managing any documentation relating to the child’s progress, incidents and safeguarding concerns/referrals.

• • Oversee compliance and ensure it meets OFSTED regulations that are required.

• • Oversee medication administration and ensure regulations are adhered to.

• • Coordinate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care of our young people.

• • Maintain and foster a safe and supportive environment for each child.

• • Manage administrative tasks related to the children’s home operations

• • Proficiency in managing staff and overseeing day-to-day operations

• • Conduct regular audits in compliance with regulatory standards and identify any areas of improvement.

• • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Salary and Benefits

• • £55,000 – £58,000 per annum
