The Young persons have experienced significant abuse and trauma in their early lives. This is a challenging role, but the rewards are incomparable to any other job. We specialise in providing best-in-class care and support for children and young people who have behaviours that may challenge and mental health needs. Working as a Children’s Support Worker, you must be willing to go above and beyond for the children and young people, ensuring that they have an experience of childhood that they can reflect upon and carry with them into adulthood.

  • £20.00 ph.
  • 12-hour shifts (day and waking nights)
  • Full-time, part time, zero hours and adhoc shifts available.

Required Skills:

  • The ability to communicate clearly and sensitively when talking to people and their families.
  • Good listening skills.
  • Great problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt and act accordingly to situations.
  • Good time management skills to be able to support the needs of multiple people.
  • The ability to keep up with changing standards and codes of conduct in the social care sector.
  • The ability to work both alone and as part of a team.
  • A high level of patience and emotional resilience.
  • Being empathetic towards everyone.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills.
  • A non-judgemental attitude regardless of a person’s needs.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and when dealing with challenging situations.
  • Loyal & honest
  • Forward-thinking with a flexible approach.
  • Able to follow instruction & direction.
  • Full UK Driving License with access to your own vehicle.
  • Flexibility on travel.
  • Experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be offered to the right candidates.
